Humanism is a worldview which says that reason and science are the best ways to understand the world around us, and that dignity and compassion should be the basis of how you act toward someone else.

Humanists affirm the dignity of every human being and assert that humanity is responsible for its own destiny, having within itself all that is needed to improve the conditions of life.

That we only have one life and we should make the best of it, not only for ourselves but for others by using reason, experience, and shared human values.
